Really nice hotel needs minor updates in rooms, water pressure was terrible could barely enjoy a nice shower after a six hour plane ride.
The water in the sink was very slow running and extremely cloudy.
Tried to order a mimosa before checking out and after waiting 10 minutes young lady said no champagne the order had not arrived.
The bed was ridiculously stiff in our room, it was completely uncomfortable, enough to where I could not sleep on it.
And it gave me back aches.
Also, the staff at the bistro for breakfast was rude and very inattentive, not very professional.
It took the staff extremely long to replenish things when they were out.
I paid for the extras with the executive suite which included a bath robe and slippers and only robe was provided.
Amenities provided were either near empty or used, like their mouthwash.
Had to ask for a fridge to be put into our room, which is a bit odd, also the room didn't have microwave.
Did I mention the bed really sucked.
Also, parking is silly, it's way too far from the check in counter, and who wants to pay for valet, should've been included for guests staying at the hotel.
The hotel cuts corners, there's a difference between going green and just going completely cheap.
Also be aware the executive suite did not come with a tub, how is someone suppose to unwind for the day?
Spend some more money and book a different hotel.
Read the reviews, it's all true.
I wanted to give it a three because there were nice things about it but I had to go with a 2 star rating as it didn't meet normalities of a hotel, especially a larger brand.
You first see that it's connected to a casino and expect it to have a cool upscale experience.
It is grandiose upon arrival bc everything else around it is tiny in comparison.
The parking is nice and plentiful.
I entered in the second of 4 entry doors because there isn't one that clearly says hotel vs casino.
It doesn't matter as they aren't strict as typical casinos.
It's just a hassle when you just want to check in.
It smelled like cigarettes insides and moth balls.
https://chakefashion.com/casino/gioco-dazzardo-da-casino.html had the nerve to tell me "you can't smoke inside".
I don't smoke t begin with but maybe you shouldn't have the smoking section 1.
The security personnel were nice and so were the staff.
The vibe of the casino is not what you'd expect if you've ever gone to Vegas or any decent casino with intimate lighting and energy from everyone.
The lights were on full blast and there were only table games available.
The food was expensive for just being okay.
If you don't have a car, good luck because there are mother restaurant around for miles except McDonald's and farmer boys.
The place is clean and even have nice furnishings in the rooms.
The main thing that got me was that there was that casinos in louisiana with water park sense microwave nor fridge so I couldn't go buy groceries if I wanted to.
I actually had to go to the ice machine and fill up the buckets up to fill the bathroom sink with ice.
I made it into a cooler so I could store beverages and a couple snacks in it.
I was in survival mode.
I called the desk the last night and asked if I could reheat my food somewhere in the building.
They said "we only have 10 microwaves available in the hotel.
I can find one if it's not used and bring it to you.
Why do you only have 10?!
For over 100 rooms?!
The one good thing is that the air conditioning was great!
You had to stick your room key in this hole next to the door that turned on the lights and increase fan of the AC.
If you are a business traveler I recommend that you skip this hotel.
I stayed at this hotel Aug 13-16, 2019.
Two things happened during my stay that have led me to here this hotel only 1 star.
This hotel primarily serves read article Casino crowd and because of that - is not suited currently to service the needs of business travelers.
I say this because on the last night of a 3-night stay, I was surprised by a knock on my door at 9:30pm.
It was the hotel assistant manager who was demanding that I provide a different credit card so they could charge my last night.
Mind you, this was 9:30pm on a Thursday night, I was in my nightgown and I am a single woman with a man standing at my door demanding that I accompany him down to the desk - or give him a different credit card!
I agreed to give him my card but I felt like I had been fleeced.
I booked directly with the hotel - not through a booking service.
There was absolutely no need for the assistant manager to come up and basically force me to give him my credit card!
Supposedly this was for a "Deposit" which is NOT mentioned anywhere on the hotel website, or on the reservation documents I received when booking directly with this hotel on their own website!
I plan to send a scathing letter to the hotel manager and I will NEVER, EVER STAY AT THE CROWNE PLAZA COMMERCE CASINO AGAIN!
I don't like men coming to my door at night when I'm in my nightgown demanding that I give them my credit card!!!!
My colleague and I picked this hotel because of its proximity to the accounts we would be calling on in both LA and Orange County area.
The other thing that surprised my colleague and I is that although this hotel clearly caters to a casino crowd, they don't have a way to manage check-ins for large tour groups efficiently.
We arrived at 10pm and at check-in found the two desk agents totally overwhelmed by a tour bus with about 40 people coming to play Pai Gow and Poker in the Casino.
The wait behind this tour group had stretched into about 20 minutes when I decided to call the hotel from the line to ask for a Manager on Duty to come and assist the stressed two desk agents.
To my surprise my call was answered by one of the two desk agents on staff.
I waved to her from the line and suggested she call for reinforcements and also shift the tour group to one line while checking in the growing number of other new guests that were clearly not part of the tour group.
After shifting the tour group to one single line the check-in for us business travelers proceeded quickly.
As far as the parking, food, cleanliness, etc.
The 323 Bistro has delicious food.
My room was very clean.
The shower had plenty of pressure and I liked the shampoo and conditioners in the room and the scented aromatherapy sleep spray left in a nice packet on the nightstand.
If not for what felt like an extortion attempt by the assistant manager I'd have given this hotel 4 stars - but instead I urge business travelers to beware!
Watch for extra charges on your credit card that were not noted at check-in and for a shake down during the middle of your stay for pre-payment of your entire stay before you have completed it.
This kind of extortion is expected at flea-bag motels, but shouldn't be for a hotel that is claiming to be a 4-Star Establishment.
Only the valet parking is up front and close to the entrance of the hotel.
Otherwise, the self parking lot is behind the building and I had to walk around the side of the hotel, in a huge circle, in the cold weather, before I got to the entrance.
One woman saw me come to the desk, then ignored me and redirected her attention at her computer.
I went up to her, and she told me to wait multiple times, and continued to look on her computer.
Finally, she called me over and got the check in completed.
On one day, I did not put a do not disturb sign and wanted my rooms to be cleaned.
When I came back that night, my room was still messy and unorganized.
I went down to tell the check in counter, and all they did was hand me some towels, toilet paper, and tissue.
The beds in the room and the bathroom were still uncleaned.
Bad customer service in general.
The shampoo and conditioner did not dispense.
The shower head was not strong enough.
Water that came from the sink was murky and cloudy.
Only when you set it down for a minute or two will it clear up.
There was no refrigerator.
Beds were very stiff and uncomfortable.
Overall, not a good hotel and will not be coming back.
The hotel was just okay.
With the price we got the room, I really can't complain too much.
But it is not a 4.
We could not figure out the parking situation at first.
The bed was king size and comfy, but it made noice every time I climbed up or down.
The lighting in the room is a bit dark.
And the room smells, not like it stinks but just a not so fresh smell.
The shampoo smells super weird that we thought it was expired.
We asked for a new one and stink less.
The shower head cannot be adjusted and the water pressure was way too high that it hurts when you shower.
The hotel itself is not so visit web page, has lots of security and they were pretty polite.
The room was just okay definitely can improve more on that.
The parking is not so ideal.
Summary of this place would be "Old hotel with sketchy customers".
We got there on a Saturday night around midnight.
We were in LA to watch the Dodgers game but since we didn't wanna stay in the downtown LA, we decided to stay in this place, thinking "this is a crowne plaza so it should be nice.
In other words, you are sharing the parking space with casino customers.
We had to walk all the way through the place while sketchy drunk customers trying to talk to us.
The room was ok.
Pretty spacious but very old.
My friends staying in a different room also said they didn't have any bath towels.
We had to dry our body with the small hand towels.
It's in a pretty convenient area if you'll be doing something in LA but I really don't wanna stay there anymore.
After reading other Yelpers reviews--prior to checking in--I found myself looking for improvements in the areas that seemed to fall short with others visits.
GROUNDS: Well-maintained, beautiful entry way.
PARKING: Utilized the valet upon check in and, on a busy Friday, we were greeted quickly, valets were very friendly, and our vehicle was taken cared of.
CHECK-IN: Quick and easy peasy.
TIP: Be sure to request a coffee valet and fridge prior to making reservation.
Wish we knew that.
However, for you coffee people, there is a Starbucks downstairs in the casino area!
I LOVE pillows and was so pleased to see 6 pillows for the King sized bed.
POWER: It was awesome to have two USB charger inputs by each side of the bed.
This hotel definitely paid attention to upgrading for the technology needs for the customer.
Unlike other hotels, I did not have to search for an outlet.
BATHROOM: Small in size, yet, not lacking in what one needs.
We had an adequate amount of towels as well.
Overall: great place to stay for the night.
Bonus: Checked our the casino and jumped on a Blackjack table.
Walked away with a win.
Huge facility, casino, smoking allowed.
The rooms are nice and decent size.
The rooms have small coffee maker, fridge upon request.
You must put your key to the light inside to keep your electricity and the elevator.
Staff is friendly- however for this size of hotel- they should give a facility map.
I gave 3 stars- because it is pricey-my bathtub only works as a shower plug is broken.
Should have the basic soaps, location and etc.
I completely agree with the other yelper that the staff at the cafe are rude and unattendtive.
Then the parking for hotel guest is so far away from the lobby!
It's far trust me unless you are going to pay for valet!
Velvet is not money; it's like I don't like valet where I dont like stranger drive my vehicles.
The location is good though, right at i5 and there is a Costco around the corner Nice, up to date, clean hotel, but I'll have to leave 3 stars because 3 things.
The non smoking rooms still have a stench of cigarette smoke, my allergies have been horrible here.
I believe its due to the heavily cigarette smoke filled casino downstairs, the smell of smoke seeps into the hotel.
This hotel still uses spring mattres We booked this hotel for our Los Angels spring break and I cannot begin to express our discontent and disappointment.
This hotel has a casino and when we booked it was not listed as such.
The rooms are small, smelly, horrible small and outdated beds.
The dust and dirty is unsanitary.
The hotel is all about casino patrons which by the way smoke cigarettes and weed freely in the ground areas.
We had to endure every time we walked outside to and and from the parking lot the engulfing smoke from people smoking everywhere along the sidewalks and parking grounds.
We addressed this with one of the managers and his response was that the hotel does not manages the parking lot but the casino folks.
He was extremely rude and unprofessional.
Our stay was a 4 night 5 day and believe me it is a nightmare.
Everyday yeh car will smell like weed from the night before patrons smoking around and the hotel hallways too.
If you have family and do not gamble and do not enjoy recreational weed stay way from this place!!
I did not come from Virginia to stay in a place like this.
Not for what we paid.
Called to ask a simple question of approximate distance, cost, and methods to get to https://chakefashion.com/casino/emperors-palace-casino-restaurants.html Rose Bowl, full 30 minutes of hold and the best I got was "I don't know.

Check in was easy, we used the valet because I just had surgery and couldn't walk very far.

Overall, had a great stay, and would recommend!
Nice place except for the advertising of the free shuttle never available we waited 1 hour when they said they would be there at 12 never showed and when we called they kept putting me on hold.
Everything else was good very nice and fancy Did not try there food.
Basic Customer service blows!
Paid ahead of time 2 weeks prior on hotels.
Tried to understand how this works as I already paid for it and the front desk associate says that's just how the hotel works and first come first serve on beds.
Get a call from front desk saying "oh well sorry we got a call from hotels.
Walked two steps into a room w a king bed.
Might have been racially charged or just the worst service ever but either way I'll never go back there!
Book hotels direct at crowneplaza.
You won't find these anywhere else.
My room smelled fresh and clean and they actually use some sort of scent in the hallway area that smells great.
I am very sensitive to smoke and fragrance and I… Last minute trip to California, made reservations close to family.
