Beginners Questions Poker beginner?
Ask your possibly naive question here and our community will attempt to help you.
I decided to register to the forum to share my amazing story.
Well amazing at least from my perspective, maybe its nothing new to you guys So I was watching WSOP and felt like playing poker after a long time.
Well, from please click for source start I was doing pretty good, I won a 4-man heads up sng and one normal hu sng.
I ended up with https://chakefashion.com/2020/www-riverscasino.html double the money I started with.
Then I decided to cash out before my luck runs out.
Here comes the fun part.
I can't cash out.
Well security says "Before you will be able to transfer or cash out the transferred or deposited funds you received into your account, you will need to build playing history with these funds.
I didn't find any reference to such rules in the Terms of Service nor the Cash out policy.
The only thing I did find was: "Please note, PokerStars reserves the right to use additional eligibility criteria to determine the cashout options players may be offered at any given time.
I used my Visa electron to deposit the cash.
However I couldn't cash out using the Visa method since the min.
So I decided to use the transfer to bank account.
I understand the point-system with clearing bonuses before cash out, but I wasn't using any bonuses or anything like that.
Quote: I understand the point-system with clearing bonuses before cash out, but I wasn't using any bonuses or anything like that.
I realise it seems deceptive and whilst not ideal but I imagine that in the fine print they have themselves covered.
I'm not sure what the latest rate is but I would have thought its way less than 50x.
I realise it seems deceptive and whilst not ideal but I imagine that in the fine print they have themselves covered.
I'm not sure what the latest rate is but I would have thought its way less than 50x.
Somehow I feel like they wouldn't let me cash out anyways.
I feel pretty scammed right now.
I thought a big poker site like PokerStars would be a safe and convenient place to play in.
My guess is that either the deposit hasn't cleared their system yet, or you need to earn a specific number of fpp's before you are able to cash out.
Stars has some of the best support hands down.
Pokerstars is the safest place to play and the safest site to have money on.
I get why you are mad but you have to look at what everyone else is saying.
There is a reason you can't just put money on and take it out so quickly.
They aren't a scam or whatever you are implying.
On the same note, maybe you should reconsider playing poker.
Maybe a different hobby would be better.
PokerStars should not impose a playing restriction in order to pokerstars cash back out.
If they are concerned about fraudulent deposits then they should rely on their 48hr wait for remarkable, poker tournaments europe may 2020 agree of withdrawals and any identity checks they consider necessary.
OP might want to withdraw immediately because he has a gambling problem and should never have deposited in the first place; because he won and doesn't want to risk losing his money; because he's new to poker and discovered he doesn't like it or for any number of other reasons none of which are intended to somehow exploit Stars.
Not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet, but I think that the playing requirements only apply to the deposit, not to your winnings.
Also, the are pretty low, I think.
In that case you need to earn 225 vpp to withdraw the whole thing.
OP might want to withdraw immediately because he has a gambling problem Then he should self exclude.
Banks generally hold checks until they clear, which can take several weeks.
They often hold some or all of cash ATM deposits until verified as well.
International credit card transactions are way riskier and more expensive.
Sites would quickly go broke from processor fees if enough players did deposits followed instantly by cash outs this would be a very viable way to attack a competitor.
Thank for the replies people.
I don't actually have a gambling problem well depends on the definition of a gambling problembut definitely PokerStars makes it very hard for people with the problem to stop in time before losing all their money.
It's not that much about the money but the principle that I wasn't informed of such requirements before I could cash out anything.
It doesn't say it on the TOS or anywhere else.
If its not a total scam, it's at least shady to inform me only when I'm trying to cash out.
It's quite obvious I play poker just for the pokerstars cash back of it.
If I go to a casino and buy some chips to play some poker, and after a hand or two I decide to quit, I'm allowed to change my chips back into cash, right?
If at the counter they would say: "Sorry, you can't cash out right now, you have to go play indefinite amount of hands more", I'm pretty sure most of us would feel scammed.
There is a difference in a credit card transaction online and a cash transaction pokerstars cash back a live casino.
You can email them and ask them to close your account for good, they have options to block limits etc.
Have you emailed stars back to find out what your specific restrictions are?
I'm sure everyone realises I wasn't actually suggesting OP had a gambling problem just that there are many reasons why someone might innocently want to withdraw after a very short period and why it might be inappropriate for a site to insist someone plays more hands.
If it's a fraud issue then Stars make it clear they can ask for ID.
check this out it's a phantom deposit issue and why should it be when Stars don't have problems with processors?
The point is that in the poker industry particularly transparency is important.
Stars have a whole page dedicated to explaining their cashout rules.
If they have a policy that's not mentioned on their website they should update their site not introduce a new requirement after a player has deposited.
It's perfectly reasonable that they should say withdrawals cost us money so we want you to rake enough to compensate us but not that they should wait until you want to withdraw to tell you that.
Playing through a deposit sounds new to me.
Furthermore, if they are truly only concerned about stolen cards, then they should verify the customer BEFORE letting him play.
Yes, that means it would take someone's impulse deposit 4 weeks to fully clear before they can hit the tables, but you would be nearly eliminating all the credit card fraud.
If the site would rather have that deposit generating rake before it is verified, then they must suffer the consequences of that decision so that the honest players are allowed to use their money as they see fit.
I see nothing wrong with making a deposit, playing one hand and withdrawing.
If they want to reduce fraud, then make the new deposit wait before they are able to play.
If they are upset over the processing fees due to the quick turnaround deposit and withdrawal, well, cry me a river - that's the cost of doing business.
I know it's 30 bucks, but in all honesty I have run up against some of the rules at Poker Stars, that I missed when I signed up As far as I'm concerned those rules are in place to protect all of us, and our funds.
I don't think it needs to be mentioned in this thread, but I think Stars runs the best online site for poker, and strive to make online poker a safe place to wager our funds.
Since it didn't mean that much for you to keep 15 bucks on there, can't see how this is even a concern, roll with it dude OTT.
So now I'm getting a bit confused here.
I've been playin for quite a while with decent frequency which brings me to the assumption that I have collected - lets say 20.
That would mean I'd have to play for like 10 more years until I get the full payout?
Sorry if this is considered to be thread hijacking, just curious if anyone stumbling over this question can answer.

No, Stars doesn't give a damn about you cashing out winnings.
They tend to only enforce VPP limits on money you've deposited or received as a transfer.

Now back to the tables inb4b4 online poker is riggedd Don't be a dick.
